As Deputy Chief of the Payments Division, Daniela provides strategic direction and leadership for the alignment of PRESTO’s product and services portfolio to the broader Payments’ and Metrolinx vision.  

Daniela leads the Client, Customer and Product teams, ensuring that an exceptional understanding of our Client and Customer needs flows through to a modern product strategy, improved satisfaction, and equitable access for all customers.  And that everything we do is truly grounded in delivering value to the transit riders and transit agencies which we serve!  Most recently, Daniela and her team launched credit and debit card payments as a way to pay for transit across GO, UP and 905 transit agencies.

Daniela comes to Metrolinx from CIBC where she most recently served as Senior Director of Everyday Payments.  In this role Daniela was responsible for enterprise-wide everyday payment services including mobile wallets, e-transfers and drafts and supporting payments strategy and modernization initiatives.  Daniela serves on the Stakeholder Advisory Committee of Payments Canada and is passionate about the advancement of payment systems within Canada.  

Daniela is committed to inclusion and diversity and believes in the importance of mentorship for career development and is an active mentor to emerging leaders through her work as a Steering Committee Member of the Metrolinx Women’s Network.  Having spent 10 years in the FinTech space, Daniela is a passionate payment, retail sales and product leader with experience in driving change and delivering results.  

Daniela has a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario and a Master of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is kept very busy as mom of three girls.
