Dave Rickard

Dave Rickard joined Metro in January 2026 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he is responsible for delivering superior financial outcomes for Metro, and oversees Accounting, Management and Budget, Treasury, Procurement, and Real Estate and Parking.

Dave has been an avid user of both Metro Bus and Metro Rail since moving to the DC area in 2005. He is excited about the role Metro plays in the economic and social life of the region.

Prior to joining Metro, Dave served in a variety of roles at the Federal Aviation Administration, including as Chief Financial Officer from 2020-2025.

Dave earned his MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business with a concentration in Finance. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Harvard University. Dave lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two daughters and is a frequent A66 bus rider.
