Rep. Eva-Dina Delgado (IL) has represented Illinois’ 3rd District since November 2019. A strong advocate for her community, she champions legislation that promotes fiscal responsibility, provides relief from rising property taxes, ensures affordable housing, and supports environmental sustainability. She is also committed to accessible healthcare and protecting women’s rights to make their own healthcare decisions. With a background in transportation, infrastructure, and sustainable energy, she is focused on improving public services for all residents.

Raised in Texas by public school teachers and a consumer protection attorney, Eva-Dina developed a passion for public service early on. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Wellesley College and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law. She moved to Chicago two decades ago, where her love for the city cemented her commitment to serving its diverse communities.

Rep. Delgado is an active member of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus and the House Democratic Women’s Caucus, and serves on the board of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation. A 2010 Leadership Greater Chicago fellow, she served on the Chicago Police Board from 2016 to 2019. She was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the Women’s Energy Summit in 2016 and named to Who’s Who in Latino Business by Negocios Now in 2019. Her previous board service includes Lawyers Lend-a-Hand to Youth, Saint Anthony Hospital, and Instituto del Progreso Latino. She lives in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago with her husband and daughter.
