Jeff Kessler
Jeff Kessler serves as the Director of Innovation for Keolis Commuter Services, leading Keolis's Innovation Office as the "catalyst of change" to improve processes and drive strategic transformation of the MBTA's Commuter Rail network in Boston.
As part of his role, among other domains, Jeff leads Keolis's efforts on revenue collection technologies, open data standards, and fare policy; likewise, he oversees technical integrations in ticketing, contactless transitions, and designed the unique "BVS" solution for barcode-based fare gate ticket processing.
He serves on multiple industry forums and APTA working groups, and has received several industry recognitions across his time at Keolis, Amtrak, SEPTA, MTA NYC Transit, and WMATA. He hosts two annual transportation "unconferences" in both Philadelphia and New England, and has served as an officer of various industry boards and professional organizations. He holds four degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Business, Systems Engineering, and Regulatory & Technology Law.
