Mr. Baker is the Director of Finance for the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), the commuter rail agency serving Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County.  Mr. Baker has been with SFRTA since September 2022.  Prior to joining SFRTA, Mr. Baker was the Director of Administrative Services for PalmTran the public transit agency for Palm Beach County where his team implemented a new fare collection system that greatly expanded the fare payment options for riders.  Mr. Baker’s career started in the private sector before moving into the nonprofit sector and then into the government sector where he has been for the last 15 years.  Mr. Baker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration from Florida International University and has been a Certified Government Finance Officer since 2014.
